Let's try this again...

My niece Emma Jo (pictured) is helping me update my blog as we sit at J.P's. I'm sipping my hot butter rum smoothie and we're splitting a cranberry nut muffin. I'm trying to understand why she's trying to pick out the nuts in her half when there's like a thousand in it, and there won't be any muffin left by the time she's done. She's trying to understand why I'm asking her about equestrian rehearsal, when, (PS to fellow musicians) equestrian people "have practices, not rehearsals". Anyway, it's becoming clear to me that I learn about blogging best when I'm sitting in coffee shops. Holly and I haven't had coffee in, well, months, and look what happened. No blog entries.
Meanwhile, back at the art bar, I took on a partner! Her name is Regina, and she brings amazing qualities to the mix. Stay tuned. Exciting things are happening. I'll tell you more about her in the next entry. I have to take a picture of her first. When you see it, you're likely to notice the incredible jewelry she'll be wearing, and you'll exclaim to yourself, "Regina, where did you get that incredible jewelry?!"
So, to save myself the trouble of taking hours to respond to all of your eager inquiries, I'll tell you now that the jewelry is part of a wholesale line that we'll be introducing at the Stylemax show in Chicago this October. Lucky for you, you can book a show and learn to make it yourself! Woohoo!! But please try to notice Regina's beautiful face, too, and not just the jewelry. Especially you, Holly. I'm sorry to tell you that it might not be entirely about you anymore. It might be about jewelry, too. Jewelry that may not be Hollyfriendly- i.e, a necklace might be big enough that the weight of it causes you to fall forward out of your wheelchair. Tragic, yes, but this could be good marketing strategy. Think about it. People will come running, full of concern for your well-being. They'll turn you over from your faceplant into the sidewalk, and they'll say, "Holly, are you...oh, my gosh, that necklace, it's incredible. Where did you get it?!" See what I mean? It might not be all about you anymore. I hope you're o.k. with that. One thing. Can you try to stay conscious so you can tell them where the art bar is?
Thanks, that would be great.

It's all about Holly

My friend Holly (pictured) helped me set up this blog site as we sat and are still sitting at Panera listening to jazz and trying to forget the migraine I've been fighting for two weeks. Delsie, her service dog, is lying contentedly on the floor, hogging the aisle as usual. Delsie is turning 11 this year- something we try not to think about but find ourselves thinking about anyway.
Holly and I meet diligently every Friday (this is our second Friday) to write. Currently it's Friday, 5:43 pm and we haven't started writing yet. Fred is picking me up in a half hour. I guess this blog entry means I'm writing, but we're supposed to be doing writing prompt exercises. We were instead prompted by Starbucks; then Holly was prompted to buy a new hot pink Nano at Best Buy (necessary tool for the writing process). Now she is prompted to watch online movie trailers, one of which is about a girl who has Friedreichs Ataxia, the condition Holly has. I have fibromyalgia and chronic TMJ that plagues me with severe headaches, but, of course, there is no trailer for a movie about that. It's all about Holly!
